[vsnet-chat 676] software for PSF photometry

Dear friends,

Could somebody advise me with which software I can do
PSF photometry of series of FITS-files ?

I've been using MIPS (made by Buil and co) to treat images
in PIC-format (the original MIPS format) made with a Hisys24
camera manufactured by LE2IM, France. However this camere has
been out of order for more than one year now, so I recently purchased
an ST7.
The problem is that ST7-images or FITS-images which are transformed
into PIC-files, are cut in range. That is, the range of the fits or
st7 files which goes from 1 to 65536 (16 bits) is cut into a 15 bit
range. All stars which have an intensity of 32767 or more on the original
image, are cut off to that value and are suddenly saturated.
MIPS apparently cannot be used to deal with fits or st7 files the way
it should be.
Anybody got any comments/solution on this?

Which software can work with Fits-files? (PSF photometry)

thanks and best regards
