I've made a quick check on the Palomar Infrared charts.
The variable identified according to the finding charts
downloaded from Masi's web page is well visible, but
quite faint (similar to Masi July 7, 1997 image secured with
unfiltered CCD, that I take to peak in the red part of the
spectrum. The comparison is however difficult due to the
poor dynamic rendition of the posted electronic images).
