Dear vsnet-chat,
This is not a question about astronomy, but about astronomers. Maybe
someone can help.
My son-in-law, Tony Mullin, who has recently taken up astronomy in a big
way, is planning to spend some time in Russia, and is very keen to meet
some of the local amateur astronomers in St Petersburg. Not necessarily
variable star observers, but that would seem to be a very good place to
start, because vs observers are probably the most active of all.
Unfortunately I do not personally have any contacts in Petersburg, but I am
hoping that there may be some people reading this who may be able to help .
I am sure that there will be at least some in that city who can converse
in English, and who are, I hope connected to Internet. Any information that
you may be able to give will be greatly appreciated.
With kind regards,
Jan Hers,
Sedgefield, South Africa.
