Dear chatters,
One or two additional bits of information re T Boo can be gleaned from
Duerbeck's atlas of galactic novae (Space Science Reviews, 45/1+2, 1987).
T Boo seems to coincide with a faint star of 18.5 mag, or at least this
star is closest to the fairly precise position given by Baxendell. Other
(1950) positions quoted are
14 11 40.87 +19 18 02.1 (POSS)
14 11 45.92 +19 18 01.9 (A.Sh. Kahatisov(1971))
[The discrepancy in RA is noteworthy, but Duerbeck makes no comment on this].
Anyway, Duerbeck gives a finder chart, but it is a tiny field for such a
sparse star field, and not very helpful for visual observers.
Duerbeck calls for spectroscopic verification of this object.
Has anyone examined any of the stars in the immediated vicinity?
/Mati Morel
