Dear colleagues,
I've just made PDM analysis of DV UMa's dataset from 16.4.
To obtain some value of period I chose just one part od PDM result and
then fitted there polynom od second degree. Then made clasical extreme
searching by f=a*x^2+b*x+c --> d(f)/dx=0 ---> Psh. But realy don't know
how can I estimate an error of this period determination. I saw some mails
in VSNET-obs from Tonny Vanmunster and others and they wrote there also
deviation (error,...,uncertainity) od PDM results. Could someone help me
with this? I think that the deviation could be equal to 1s aprox. because
of time clock in computer but of course it's much more difficult due the
algorith of PDM, or other error made by computer (?).
Thank you very much for your interest
Rudolf
