Several years ago a friend of mine offered to make me a 'clear sky alarm'.
I think it worked on the principle of detecting reflected light from cloud
layers. Anyway, he promised to wire it up to my bedroom, with audio and
visual alarms (buzzing and flashing lights!). For some reason my wife said
she would divorce me if I ever had it built. I wonder why?
