PU CMa: post-superoutburst fading
Dear Colleagues,
We have received a new data set from Berto Monard. PU CMa is slowly
fading (post-superoutburst stage). Late superhumps are very prominent
throughout this post-superoutburst stage. We have also received a
successful report of observation from Peter Nelson. We will make a further
analysis after receiving this full report. The long persistence of
late superhumps is one of the signatures of short-period SU UMa stars.
These stars frequently undergo post-superoutburst rebrighteng(s) -- so
please watch carefully!!
Regards,
Taichi Kato
