PU CMa: further period evolution
Dear Colleagues,
We have received new sets of data from Berto Monard and Peter Nelson.
The data show that the object is now fading at an almost constant rate
(plateau stage). The new superhump observations seem to more strongly
support that the trend of period decrease. If this is confirmed, PU CMa
apparently makes the first example of short-period SU UMa stars with
a meaningfully measured negative period derivative. Please keep up the
current observing sessions!
Regards,
Taichi Kato
