RX Vol: superhump period evolution
Dear Colleagues,
We have received new data from Berto Monard. There seems to have
been a regrowth in superhump amplitudes. There is also a suggestion
of period lengthening (as expected). The object, after an early stage
evolution lasting 1-2 d, entered a likely diffferent stage of superhump
evolution which looks more typical of a large-amplitude SU UMa-type star
with this short superhump period. The evolution, however, has been
rather complex up to now, and apparently needs to be followed by further
extensive coverage. Please keep your eyes on this rare outburst.
Regards,
Taichi Kato
