XZ Eri: superhump regrowth and period increase Dear Colleagues, We have received most up-to-date data from Berto Monard. We have also received runs (two+ nights) from Kiyota-san (Tsukuba), and the reduced data at regular observatories (Kyoto, Torii-san at RIKEN, Tanabe-san at Okayama) are steadily growing. The data now indicate a regrowth of the superhump amplitude. However, this regrowth is more related to the beat phonomenon, rather than a true regrowth, which is expected to occur near the end of the superoutburst plateau. The available data also suggest a period increase, at an approximate rate of dot(P)/P = +5x10^(-5). Up to now, XZ Eri shows all the unusual features of the short-period SU UMa-type dwarf nova. Please continue the present coverage during the entire superoutburst (and expected rebrightening). Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
