UV Gem: further shortening of the superhump period!
Dear Colleagues,
We have received a new set of data from Jochen Pietz. After partly
combining the data between Jan. 7 and Jan. 9 (the data are from Jochen Pietz,
Nyrola team, Tonny Vanmunster, Tanabe-san team at Okayama U. of Sci.,
Torii-san at RIKEN, Maehara-san, and Kyoto team and Ouda Station),
the mean superhump period now becomes 0.0938(1) d. Compared with the
earlier reports, the period shortening still continues. The observed period
decrese is one of the largest among SU UMa-type dwarf novae!
Regards,
Taichi Kato
