HV Aur definite superoutburst! Dear Colleagues, Superhumps (about 0.25 mag) are clearly visible on both nights Nov. 27 and 28, contributed by Torii-san (RIKEN), Nogami-san (Hida Observatory), and M. Aho and Arto Oksanen (Nyrola Observatory). We have also received successful report of observation from Tanabe-san (VSNET Okayama Station) and R. Ishioka-san and H. Ohashi-san (Ouda Station, Kyoto University). Kyoto observation (observer: M. Uemura) was also performed. Some observations used different bands, which would enable to follow the color changes. Although the analysis is in progress, a preliminary look at the data qualifies that HV Aur is a long-period SU UMa-type dwarf nova. We encourage further continuous observations in order to determine the nature of this still poorly known object. Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
