CC Cnc superhump period update
Dear Colleagues,
Based on preliminary analysis of 6 night observations, we have obtained
the superhump period of 0.07571(4) d. This value is 3.0% longer than
the orbital period (Thorstensen et al.). This superhump excess also
precludes the former possibility that CC Cnc has an anomalously large
excess. Modulations with a period of 2-3 d is also superimposed on the
light curve, suggesting the presence of a beat phenomenon. This system
may thus have a rather high inclination, although the spectroscopic
solution may not by strongly indicative of that.
We now have a long baseline enough to determine the period change.
Further observations are encouraged.
