WZ Sge: true superhumps not yet
Dear Colleagues,
The analysis of the data between July 28.801 and 29.708 (G. Masi,
R. Novak, J. Pietz, L. Cook, Kyoto team; 5243 points up to now) has yielded
a period of 0.05669 +/- 0.00028 d, which is in agreement with the orbital
period (or the nominal period of early superhumps). This indicates that
"true" superhumps have not yet apparently emerged. However, the Kyoto data
(now being intensively analyzed) may suggest some hint of a change in the
profile. We will be able to inform the result in due time. Please continue
the present excellent coverage!
