[vsnet-campaign-dn 585] IY UMa brighter than the suggested quiescent level

Just now we (M. Uemura and T. Kato) have performed time-series
photometry of IY UMa with Ouda 60-cm telescope. We have succeeded
in getting images of two eclipses and confirmed our eclipse ephemeris
presented below well predicts timings of the center of eclipses
(probably about one minutes earlier than timings of real eclipses).

IY UMa seems to be R=16.8-17.0, which is somewhat brighter than
the reported minimum magnitude of 18.4. In the B. Sumner's sequence
(http://ftp.nofs.navy.mil/pub/outgoing/aah/sequence/sumner/iyuma.seq),
the minimum magniutde of V=18.351 are shown. Confirmations
of the current status and the quiescent magnitude of IY UMa
are encouraged.

Regards,
Makoto Uemura
