Subject: [vsnet-alert 7538] Possible Novae in Capricornus or new Varaible ?

Dear Observers :

Could someone check a possible novae or new variable ?

While I located U Aqr field, I saw a bright star (mg. 5.5) near Mu
(51) Cap; its aproximately position is A.R : 21h 52m 20s, D: -13º 45'. I
have checked in Megastar program the position in this field of some
asteroid, but there is nothing in this zone. I have checked the field
during 45 minutes and the object does not show movement.

With Megastar chart, using 51 Cap (HIP 108036 /mg. 5.09) and a near
star of mg. 6,3 like reference stars, I estimated the brightness of the
object in mg. 5.5/5.6.

        Finally, my observations are :

            CAP *X 20020926.9583 mg. 5.5/5.6 33.5 CMS. F/4.5. X 25.
                " " .9792 mg. 5.5 "
"
In a new observations Sep 26.9931 I think that the object is similar
in brightness to 51 Cap. Increase its brightness ?

I hope notices about confirmation of this object. Thanks in advance

       Sincerely,
