Dear SN watchers,
I have heard that SN 2002bj suddenly faded, and now around mag 17.
It was mag about 14.6 on Mar. 7. The spectrum (IAUC 7844, Gunma and
CfA) suggests that it is a luminous IIn SN, but such rapid fading has
been observed only in a faint SN IIn. The confirmation of the drop
and the follow-up photometry is extremely encouraged.
Sincerely Yours,
Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan
