> John Thorstensen (Dartmouth College) reports: > > The identification of QZ Ser formerly marked in the Downes live > CV atlas was incorrect. The correct ID is just northwest of the star > near the center of the circle in the atlas, and is near > 15 56 54.46, +21 07 18.9 (J2000, from the coordinate > system in the DSS-II red image). Catalog data for this star: USNO-A2.0: 155654.456 +210719.79 (2000.0) 16.5 17.6 GSC2.2: 155654.466 +210719.07 (2000.0) 17.14 18.09 So the outburst amplitude is 5 magnitudes. I noticed this star before but since the identification in [vsnet-obs 18349] seemed to be certain ... Btw, how certain is Haseda's positive observation on 1998 Mar. 3.809 UT (14.8p)? Must have been near the limiting magnitude ... Regards, Patrick
