Nomemclature of the peculiar variable (possible nova) in Mon
There have been some confusion among observers in referring to
the peculiar variable (possible nova) in Mon (GSC 4822.39), presumably
resulting from the abbreviated heading in some published charts.
The object is neither "Nova Mon No. 2" nor "Var Mon No. 2".
VSNET recommends to use the least ambiguous designation GSC 4822.39
until the object receives the permanent GCVS name.
