WZ Sge superhumps: period update

Dear Colleagues,

   G. Masi has kindly sent high-quality data.  The analysis of the Aug. 5
data set (Brian Martin, Kyoto, Masi, 4632 points and still growing),
we have refined the superhump period as 0.058884 +/- 0.000027 d.

   What a surprize, if this period is the true superhump period of WZ Sge!
Everything based on the superhump excess and mass-ratio determination
of WZ Sge and related systems (e.g. Patterson 1998, PASP 110, 1132)
may need to be reconsidered, or even thrown away!

   Let's see how the period evolves today (tonight)!
