Subject: Re: [vsnet-alert 5944] HadV89 : new eruptive variable or a possible nova?
Could the new Haseda variable be MSX G012.0409-00.9457, a fairly
strong 10mu source located at 18 15 27.2 -18 57 22 (2000)? The very useful
MSX catalogue was recently made available through the Strasbourg VizieR
service. See http://vizier.u-strasbg.fr/viz-bin/Cat?V/107 for details.
I have found it very good for indentifying red stars that are a little too
faint or on bright backgrounds that do not show up in the IRAS catalogues.
