AL Com observation May 18 at Kyoto
Dear Colleagues,
A quick look at the observation on May 18 (vsnet-alert 5891) shows
a rapid brightening of the object at a rate of 3.0 mag/d! Although
there was short-term variation, no very large superhump signal was
present. Small (<0.1 mag) hump-like features are present, which
may be the birth of "early superhumps" (if the present outburst
evolves into a superoutburst). More detailed analyis will be presented
later by Ishioka-san. Further observations, as long as possible,
are strongly encouraged.
Regards,
VSNET Collaboration team
