Nova Sgr 2001: Nishimura's observations revised
> Hideo Nishimura (Kakegawa, Shizuoka, Japan) has reported he had detected
> the presence of the object on two photographs taken on Feb. 24 (see below
> for the details). The object was barely seen at the limit of detection
> on two photographs taken on Feb. 17.831 and 17.833 UT.
The data have been updated after re-examination by Nishimura. The revised
magnitudes are based on the Tycho V system. The earlier report on the
possible detection on the Feb. 17 image has been withdrawn after careful
comparison of all available images. The new times in UT represent the
average of mid-exposure times of several successive exposures.
2001 Feb. 2.843 UT fainter than 10.0 (2x50s exposures)
17.832 fainter than 10.0 (2x40s exposures)
25.836 8.1 (5x50s exposures)
Instruments: 105mm F/5.6, T-Max 400 unfiltered
