Old SNe (and comets) have been reported from the POSS-I plates in the
past on IAUCs, so I don't see why this one wouldn't be eligible, although
obviously no longer timely.
It's possible we may have Pluto Camera or other plates taken of the
field near that time. Since this designation is part of field where IDs
are confused in the literature, can you confirm that the galaxy involved
is the one at: 12 23 39 +07 03.2 (2000)? And how bright is the SN on
the POSS plate?
