Hi Dan,
Here is the info for a new SN discovered by
KAIT.
Cheers,

SN 2000xxx in NGC 382
S. Beckmann and W. D. Li, University of California
at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova
Search (cf. IAUC 6627, 7126) with the 0.8-m Katzman
Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), report the discovery
of an apparent supernova in NGC 382. The SN was discovered
and confirmed on unfiltered images taken on Sep 18.3 UT
(mag about 16.0) and Sep 19.2 UT (mag about 15.8), respectively.
The new object is located at R.A. = 01h07m23s.52, Decl. =
+32o24'23".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".3 west and
8".7 north of the nucleus of NGC 382. A KAIT image of
the same field on Sep 11.3 UT already showed a hint of the
SN, while an image on Sep 6.3 UT showed nothing at the position
of the SN (limiting mag about 19.0). NGC 382 is interacting
with another galaxy NGC 383.
