[vsnet-alert 5206] CCD time-series photometry results on NSV 14652 Peg

Dear all,

Final processing of a CCD time-series photometry run on NSV 14652, obtained on August 22/23, 2000 at CBA Belgium Observatory, using a 0.35-m f/6.3 telescope and ST-7 CCD (unfiltered), yields a 0.5 mag modulation in the resulting light curve (covering a total of 6.1 hours). Rather surprisingly, the modulation is only present in the first half of the light curve, and isn't repeated over the second half. It therefore is difficult to judge the precise nature of the variation.

Follow-up observations on this object probably will reveal more details. Unfortunately, this will require another outburst, as my August 22/23 outburst detection clearly has been related to the final stage of the outburst. The object now has returned to quiescence, as indicated by the following observation :

20000823.880 UT, <17.0 C

Best regards,
Tonny Vanmunster
