The following recent visual observations of the SDOR type star V766 Cen indicate it may have commenced to decine. If this fade continues, it will be the first major variations in this star since 1994/95 when it declined one magnitude from its usual brightness near 7.1/7.2 in approximately 125 days. It remained near magnitude 8.0 for some 275 days before returning to maximum in a further 75 days.
