BC UMa superhump evolution
Dear Colleagues,
The rare superoutburst of BC UMa continues. Superhumps still prominently
exist, apparently associated with the apperance of secondary superhumps.
The timing analysis of obtained superhump maxima has yielded a remarkably
small O-C's to the constant period. The merginally negative period derivative
is almist an order smaller than those of typical SU UMa-type dwarf novae.
Such a small period change (if not the period increase in some very rare
systems) is one of recently established characteristics of SU UMa-type
dwarf novae with low outburst frequency and large outburst amplitudes.
Continued observation of the present rare superoutburst is highly encouraged.
