Hi VSNET readers, referring to a recent VSNET posting and a publication on its outburst by U Munari, I thought it would be interesting to send my preliminary values of observations of Hen3-1341 for 1998. They have not been published anywhere because they were awaiting a proper field sequence. I used three nearby comparison stars, which I have calibrated now using the USNOA2.0 / GSPC 'calibration' transfer. The derived magnitudes actually show a dramatic brightening of Hen3-1431 in 1998, something that wasn't clear at the time by using comparisonsonly to a selection of 3 lettered stars. Unfortunately, due to a priority change regarding observing targets in my program, I did not follow up the 'dramatic' evolution of this symbiotic system. I did not make even one observation of it in 1999, despite the fact that it was not taken off my observing list.... shame on me. For the sequence I have used the following three comparison stars with derived USNO-A2.0 / GSPC magnitudes (and arounded to my estimated values at the time). I believe the values are still within + or - 0.3 V magnitude (at the 95% confidence level).
