Var61 Her fading

Dear Colleagues,

    From our CCD photometry on Nov. 1 and 2, Var61 Her showed a decline of
0.36 mag in 0.96 d.  The fading trend has been confirmed using the ongoing
observation tonight.  This fading rate and the preliminary analysis of
time-series seem to suggest that Var61 Her is a long-period SS Cyg-type dwarf
nova with a relatively large outburst amplitude, like V1060 Cyg.

    Though intensive time-series coverage may be less important, follow-up
observation of the present rare outburst is still encouraged.
