[vsnet-alert 2844] OGLE-1999-BUL-05 - important update

Dear Colleagues,

Very strange behavior of OGLE-1999-BUL-05 event light curve has made us
to analyse the photometry of this star in more detail. Preliminary
results of individual, differential photometry suggest that the
routinely obtained (from OGLE data reduction pipeline) magnitudes are
not reliable for this object during its amplificated phase. Possible
explanation might be an inaccurate position on the template (obtained
when the star was faint; this position is fixed in reductions of all
frames) and/or blending effect of another object resulting in centroid
shift.

We will provide differential photometry data for the event tomorrow
(April 9th) after downloading all needed FTS images for the field from
Chile. Until then, we remove the photometry data from our FTP archive.
