Hi interested readers,
With regard to the present likely superoutburst I would like to
reconfirm my unconfirmed outburst observation of EK TrA on 25 Jan 1999
at magnitude 14.0. Too long ago as a precurring event?
For what it's worth!
Regards,
Berto Monard

Bright outburst of EK TrA
Rod Stubbings reports that the SU UMa-type dwarf nova EK TrA is
undergoing
a relatively rare, bright outburst.
YYMMDD(UT) mag observer

990213.099 <142 (B. Monard)
990218.570 <140 (R. Stubbings)
990219.484 <134 (R. Stubbings)
990220.521 115 (R. Stubbings)
The latest confirmed outburst of this object occurred in 1998 June
(D. Overbeek, mv=11.7), latest superoutburst in 1997 July (J. Hers and
B. Monard), which conspicuously showed a precursor normal outburst.
Follow-up observations of the current outburst is encouraged.
