Unusually high outburst frequency of SS Aur The SS Cyg-type dwarf nova SS Aur is exhibiting an anmoualous sequence of outbursts with extremely enhanced activity. Most of the recent outbursts are so-called "anomalou" type, characterized by a slow rise. A new outburst is apparently ongoing, after a short (~15 d) period of quiescence.
