G'day all,
My first look at the possible nova in Musca.
A visual magnitude of 10.7 was observed on Dec 31.6708 UT; using Tycho and
GSPC comparison stars. Sky was cloudless, but bright due to full Moon and
the usual summertime dust haze.
I'm planning to do more observations and CCD astrometry with a bigger
telescope tomorrow night.
cheers,
Fraser Farrell
