[vsnet-alert 2396] V607 Aql bright maximum in March

V607 Aql bright maximum in March

  K. Haseda (Aichi, Japan) reports V607 Aql was observed extremely bright
in 1998 March. V607 Aql was originally reported as a nova by Wolf (1904),
but subsequent study by Richter revealed the 474-day periodicity and the
variability range 14.1-(18.5p. Duerbeck suggested the possibility of
the symbiotic nature. A search for photographs taken around March may
be helpful in further investigating the nature of exceptionally bright
maxima of this object.
