V607 Aql bright maximum in March K. Haseda (Aichi, Japan) reports V607 Aql was observed extremely bright in 1998 March. V607 Aql was originally reported as a nova by Wolf (1904), but subsequent study by Richter revealed the 474-day periodicity and the variability range 14.1-(18.5p. Duerbeck suggested the possibility of the symbiotic nature. A search for photographs taken around March may be helpful in further investigating the nature of exceptionally bright maxima of this object. YYMMDD(UT) mag observer 970716.717 <147p (K.
