I made an unfiltered CCD image of V493 Lyr this morning -through thin clouds-, 
clearly showing the object in outburst. Here are some further details :

1998 Feb 09.087 UT, mag 14.1  (unfiltered CCD image; 0.25-m SCT; ST-7 CCD);
