We have confirmed T. Watanabe's detection of the rise of V651 Mon (the
central star of the planetary nebula NGC 2346) in [vsnet-obs 5380].

The binary (P=15.991 d) phase corresponds to the light minimum when
the fade was in progress (vsnet-alert 642). This phase reversal seems
to support the Costero's model of a passing cloud in front of a binary
(cf. vsnet-alert 648), suggesting that the current episode is coming to
an end.
Intensive observations are strongly encouraged!
