- Subject: [vsnet-alert 545] Potential Alexis Transient
The ALEXIS satellite has observed a potential transient in the 93 ev
telescope of telescope pair 1. The light curve from this system appears to
be quite flare like with the flare maximua occuring at 6 UT 19 Sept, 1996.
The souce appeared to be decaying during the last 14 hours of the available
data.
The source is located at:
RA 18 38 3.5 DEC +03 50 17 +/- 0.3 degree
A quick search of Simbad only reveals 10 sources within the 0.3 degree error
radius.
Follow up observations would be greatly appreciated.
