Dear colleagues,
Following the notification of the outburst of V419 Lyr by T. Vanmunster
on Sep. 29 (vsnet-obs 1253), we (Ouda Team) started the time-resolved
CCD photometry of V419 Lyr at Ouda Station, Kyoto University, using 0.6m
reflecter. Our observations on Oct. 3 and 6 revealed superhumps with
a magnitude of 0.20 mag on Oct. 3 and that of 0.15 mag on Oct. 6.
The mean decline rate during the period is 0.10 mag/day. Although
the short runs prevent us from measuring the superhump period (Psh)
precisely, Psh of V419 Lyr seems to be slightly over 2 hours. From these,
we first identified V419 Lyr as a SU UMa star!
Best regards,
Daisaku Nogami and Seiji Masuda
