    V705 Cassiopeiae (Nova 1993) has apparently reached its secondary maximum
    as it has remained near mag. 12 since July. The recurrent novae T Coronae
    Borealis and RS Ophiuchi were seen near minimum.

    The following objects were detected in outburst: RX Andromedae (two maxima),
    DX Andromedae, Z Camelopardalis, SS Cygni, RU Pegasi and IP Pegasi (an
    eclipse was detected by A. Lauvstad around Sep 2.91 UT).

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The nova-like variable AE Aquarii was seen unusually bright on Sep 18.91 UT
    (class 1 observation). SU Tauri is slowly recovering from its deep minimum,
    while the other RCB-objects (R Coronae Borealis itself, UV Cassiopeiae and
    V482 Cygni) were seen near maximum. Several symbiotic stars (type ZAND)
    have shown interesting activity. AX Persei was detected in an eclipse,
    about 0.5 magnitudes fainter than its normal minimum magnitude. Its orbital
    period is 681.6 days (Kenyon, S.J. 1982, Pub. Astr. Soc. Pac., 94, 165).
    AG Draconis has faded somewhat since July, but it is still well above its
    normal brightness (observations by undersigned is based on comparison stars
    with photoelectric V-magnitudes from Hipparcos Input Catalogue). CH Cygni
    has shown clear variations during September. The central star of the plane-
    tary nebula PK 60-7.1 (FG Sagittae) has shown R CrB-like variations since
    the autumn of 1992 and it is still very faint.

    R Scuti, the famous RV Tauri variable, faded to a primary minimum in late
    September and early October, but it was not as faint than during the first
    half of May this year. Another RV-star, TX Persei, was also faint in Septem-
    ber. The long-periodic stars Omicron Ceti (Mira), Chi Cygni and S Ursae Mi-
    noris are fading, while T Cephei, S Coronae Borealis, W Lyrae and U Orionis
    are brightening. Our group has started to observe some little studied stars
    and we have prepared charts based on the Guide Star Catalog.
