No nova near M27

Subject: Nova near M27 ?


I took few frames covering the position of the suspected new object
using 60 cm reflector with CCD camera and V filter no new objects
was found.
The mentioned position is very close to a 12.8 magnitude star already
appear in the GSC. The position according to GSC : RA(2000)=20h00m04s
Dec(2000)=22o47'46".9
This star is not brighter than 10.8 mag star with the position :
RA(2000)=19h59m59s.54 Dec(2000)=22o46'29".4

Between these two star there is DQ Vul which is much fainter.

Therefore no new nova can be confirmed.
