Visual Magnitude Estimate of SN 1994D in NGC 4526

Dear Richard, Bjorn, Taichi, and Yasuto,

On March 17.399 (UT) 1994, I estimated SN 1994D's magnitude at 11.9,
using comparison stars of magnitudes 12.6, 12.0, and 11.3 from AAVSO
Alert Notice 182 (derived from Thompson and Bryan's chart).

The estimate was made using a 28 cm SCT at 155x.

This is a challenging observation to make due to the brightness of
NGC 4526. My "error bar" is larger than usual - perhaps plus/minus
0.2 magnitude. The supernova is definitely brighter than three days
ago.

Regards,

William (W. G. Dillon, Missouri City, Texas, USA)
