0120
0130 Nova Oph 1994 [N] 7.0: mag [p] - [9.5 mag. [p]
0140 R.A. = 17h 35m 44s.62 Decl. = -19d 19' 34".0 (J2000.0) [IAUC 6001]
0155 [Position is from astrometry by Y. Kushida, Yatsugatake South Base
0160 Observatory and A. Sugie, Dynic Astronomical Observatory, Japan]
0165 The corresponding position for B1950.0 is R.A. = 17h 32m 47s.57,
0170 Decl. = -19d 17' 41".7.
0175
0180 K. Sekiguchi (South African Astronomical Observatory) and S. Matsumoto
0185 (University of Tokyo) obtained a spectrum of the object on June 3.79 UT
0190 (wavelength interval 3400-5400 Angstrom, resolution ~3.5 A) which
0195 confirms that it is a nova. The spectrum looks like a typical classical
0200 nova in the early decline stage, strong and broad Balmer emission lines
0205 (with P Cyg absorption features) and Fe II emission lines.
