Dear Taichi,
Thank you for the recent messages on V1504 Cyg, and your attempt
to confirm my outburst observation. Apparently, the outburst was a
very short lived one (< 1.5 or 2d) - as was also the case with the
recent outburst of TT Boo -, and certainly not a superoutburst.
I made a negative observation of V1504 Cyg myself, last night (see
details below). In order to get visual confirmation of similar
events in the future, I have distributed the chart of V1504 Cyg to
a number of experienced observers with large telescopes (Gary Poy-
ner, Lasse Jensen). I hope we will be more successful on a next
occasion.
One last question : you kindly supplied me the telephone number of
the Ouda observatory. For which interesting cataclysmics, and
under what conditions, can it be reached ? When would you appreci-
ate a phone call instead of an internet alert message ? Is the
observatory permanently staffed (if not, between which hours -UT-
is it) ?
Could both of you please include me on your internet mailing list,
as to reduce message passing costs between Paul Van Cauteren and
myself.
Regards,
Tonny Vanmunster
