CCD observation of Nova Cas

Dear nova observers,

After a long-lasting unfavorable sky condition, I could finally
take CCD images of Nova Cas 1993 at Ouda tonight (near Feb. 27.4 UT).
The V-band images showed the object at about V=14.4 estimated
from the TV monitor. Judging from the present observation, the nova
seems to have stopped its rapid fading.
I took several rather deep images around the nova, so I will be
able to present a V-band photometric sequence down to 17th or 18th mag.
The immediate surroundings of the nova is not crowded, and there seems
to be little problem in identifying the object visually. The GSC V=11.9
star just SE to the nova is a close double, so it shound not be used
for comparison.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
