Further fade of Nova Cas 1993

    Following most recent report indicates that the nova has faded to 14-th
magnitude with a fluctuation of the decline speed with a period of two days.
Further multiwavelength observations (esp. infrared) are strongly encouraged.
    Also deep multicolor CCD images and measurement of the magnitudes and the
colors of the comparison stars will help visual observers to continue
their monitoring of this interesting object of first class importance in
the history of nova research.

Time system is Universal Time. Magnitudes are calculated from Pogson's step
method. CL = class: estimated accuracy of observation; 1 = good (+/- 0.1
mag.), 2 = fair (+/- 0.2 mag.). CD = code: I = in-focus observation, O =
out-of-focus observation. Instrument (type, aperture in mm and magnifica-
tion): C = catadioptric telescope; M = Newtonian reflector. This report
contains new (*) observations since Report No. 16 (Feb. 21).

Comparison stars (idenfifications and magnitudes): 15 = 11.83; 16 = 12.52;
18 = 13.28; Tm = 13.8. Identifications: The Astronomer (15, 16) and NAS.VSS
(18, Tm). Magnitudes are from TA E-Circular 806 (15, 16), B. Skiff photo-
metry (18) and visual estimates by O. Midtskogen (Tm). V-magnitudes for
numbered stars are due to Brian Skiff, Lowell Observatory.

Observers: Andreas Lauvstad (Levanger. Norway); Oernulf Midtskogen
(Tranby, Norway).
