(Anomalous?) Outburst of SS Cyg

(vsnet-alert)

Dear Colleagues,

Recent observations seem to indicate that the dwarf nova SS Cyg may be on the rise to an anomalous outburst (at last?). Close observations tonight are needed to see if there follows a rapid or slow rise, which helps in dis- criminating the outburst type. The VSNET Home Page displays the present light curve.

Regards,
Taichi Kato
