BR Lup definite superoutburst

BR Lup is undergoing a definite superoutburst! Time-series photometry is strongly encouraged during the current very favorable superoutburst! (No superoutburst of BR Lup was completely covered in the past).

Superhumps!

BR Lup: fully grown superhumps!

Dear Colleagues,

We have received Apr. 7 long run on BR Lup from Greg Bolt. The data clearly show fully grown superhumps with an amplitude (slightly variable) of 0.20 mag. The data also show some hint of quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs). The superhump period determined from this single-night run is 0.083 d, which is generally in agreement with, but seems to be slightly longer than the previously determined period. Further observations are strongly encouraged. We have also received representative images, which will be posted later on the Web.

Taichi Kato
